Prompt: Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.

Response: I have heard the words incantation and cosmopolitan frequently outside of the classroom. I have heard the word incantation mostly in movies or TV. More specifically, I usually hear it in fantasy or fictional media. The word cosmopolitan is frequently used to talk about famous celebrities or figures. One example of someone who was described as a cosmopolitan is Jeff Bezos. I find that words like these are more likely to be found in media rather than everyday conversations.

Summary: In class we learned new vocabulary and worked on 2 exercises for it.

Reflection: I reflected on the times I've used the vocabulary we learned today and what words I haven't used.
