Prompt: Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

Response: There was a time where I had a small interaction with a homeless man one time when I walked to my local gas station. I usually go there to buy myself a snack. It was during my freshman year and it was on the weekend. Some homeless man asked me for some money and said he'd buy something for me if I did. I declined and said sorry and walked away. I felt bad for declining but I don't trust any random man I don't know for my safety.

Summary: In class we began to read a story on Writable.

Reflection: I reflected on how I could help the homeless in the future.
