 Prompt: You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

Response: The class has been easy so far for me personally. I feel like I have a good teacher and that the lessons aren't too advanced. The first few weeks have been easy but I wonder if it will get harder. I enjoyed drawing the heart assignment. I also enjoyed analyzing the text in poems as a whole class. 


Summary: In class we read a poem about how you shouldn't fear death and analyzed it.


Reflection: I reflected on how I can check what assignments I have done more often.

Response: During Thanksgiving, I wanted to make mac n cheese for dinner. We held a small Thanksgiving dinner with my oldest sister. I was unfortunately stuck spending the majority of the days trying to recover and get better from being sick. On the bright side, I spent the rest of my break traveling to Maryland, and I rode a plane for the first time. First, this year I want to achieve my personal goal of gaining better spending habits by spending less money and saving more. This goal is important to me because I have a bad habit of spending money too quickly, and I want to save money for more expensive things that I want.
