 Prompt: You are currently working on a soundtrack for selected Emily Dickinson poems. With that in mind, if asked to choose a song to describe your life right now, which song would you select and why?

Response: If I had to choose a song to describe my life right now, it would be the song "Dog Goes Meow" by He Said She's Dead. I chose this song because I feel like I've distanced myself and haven't been hanging around anyone without realizing it since I'm naturally introverted. The lyric, "I look around me, everybody is gone" is why I thought this. This is also one of my favorite songs. That makes the song more personal to me. 


Summary: In class, we took a test over poetry. 


Reflection: I reflected on how I can analyze poetry better.

I was unfortunately stuck spending the majority of the days trying to recover and get better from being sick. On the bright side, I spent the rest of my break traveling to Maryland, and I rode a plane for the first time. First, this year I want to achieve my personal goal of gaining better spending habits by spending less money and saving more. This goal is important to me because I have a bad habit of spending money too quickly, and I want to save money for more expensive things that I want.
