 Prompt: Write about something that you believed as a child.

Response: Something I believed as a child was that if you stood by a window while it was storming outside, you would get struck by lightning. When I was a kid, my two sisters would tell me not to stand by the window while it was storming. When I asked them why they told me that I would get struck by lightning. Without any reason, I believed them and it stuck with me until I was around 10. It's something that is now funny to look back on. 


Summary: In class we learned new vocabulary terms and defined them. 


Reflection: I reflected on how I can expand my vocabulary.

Response: During Thanksgiving, I wanted to make mac n cheese for dinner. We held a small Thanksgiving dinner with my oldest sister. Baked mac n cheese is one of my favorite dishes so I wanted to include that into the dinner. I was very proud with how it turned out and I even used sourdough bread as the breading on top. I was unfortunately stuck spending the majority of the days trying to recover and get better from being sick. On the bright side, I spent the rest of my break traveling to Maryland, and I rode a plane for the first time. First, this year I want to achieve my personal goal of gaining better spending habits by spending less money and saving more. This goal is important to me because I have a bad habit of spending money too quickly, and I want to save money for more expensive things that I want.
